Junior Section

Welcome to our page. You will find all the information that you need regarding the Junior Section here, or a link that will take you there. If not then please just ask one of the officials on training day or e-mail, text or phone one of us.
The Junior Section has been in place now since 2012 and has gone from strength to strength. We are recruiting more youngsters every year. Our aim and intention is to develop local talent and to enable them to play to a level that matches their true potential. The club is ambitious and we are looking to the future. If you didn’t know Dan Lydiate, Wales and Ospreys used to play junior rugby for the club.
For anyone interested in joining us and helping us achieve our goals, as players, coaches, administrators, supporters or sponsors, then they are guaranteed a welcome in a Club dedicated to the promotion and development of rugby at all levels.
Every club has rules and guidelines in place which should be adhered to at all times. See the Rules and Guidelines link on the right.
We are still reasonably young, and are still building the Section. We are not there yet and there is much work to be done, but we look forward to the new season with optimism. If you are interested in your son or daughter becoming a member then please complete the online registration form and email it to the address on the bottom of the registration form, or print it out and bring it along with you on our training days.
We are affiliated to the Welsh Rugby Union, and come under the Cardiff Blues Development setup. We follow the WRU Rugby Pathway Programme and follow their Discipline Code of Contact.
The Pathway Programme offers a progressive way of introducing the game to young players from the age of 7 through to under 19’s. It is also there to develop our coaches. At the same time it aims to capture the magic of the game and deliver a game that is fun to play, enjoyable and stimulating to coach and promotes open running rugby.
We generally play our games, festivals or tournaments against teams that are affiliated to the Heart of Wales Region (HOW).
We train every Tuesday for under 14's and the under 8's and Wednesday for the under 12's 6pm and 7pm at Lant Avenue, Llandrindod Wells.
